Feasability Study
MAYA is collaborating with the Buckhannon River Watershed Association (BRWA) on an innovative project aimed at addressing acid mine drainage in a local tributary. We are exploring the potential of oyster mushroom mycelium for environmental remediation, with the hope that the mycelium can help restore water quality and promote ecological recovery in the watershed. The oyster we are using is native to WV and was cultivated from the wild by Dave Medlock of Highland Fungi.
When we have collected sufficient data to verify the many studies other beautifully brave souls have already conducted, we will offer Mycoremediation Services for various industrial and agricultural needs.
